Product Design Residency Program, ArtEZ University

A two-month residency, working within the Product Design Department of ArtEZ University, finding new dialogues between practice, place and education. This was a wonderful opportunity to make and reflect within a truly exploratory department and environment.

During my time in Arnhem I developed a series of screen prints, paper and ceramic works, which began by contemplating ‘ground’ and ‘transformation’. The work created formed a series of visual notes, responding to materials and place and providing new starting points for practice. These explorations pathed the way for my residency at EKWC later that year; the first few steps into a new territory, where colour, shape and surface began to lead the way.
