I’m a ce­ram­ics-based art­ist, ed­u­ca­tor and cu­ra­tor. My re­search in­ter­ests blend craft, de­sign, and so­cial well-being. I have taught in ac­a­de­mia since 2002, at Man­ches­ter School of Art and more re­cent­ly at Liv­er­pool Hope Uni­ver­sity where I tutor in ce­ram­ics, de­sign, and con­tem­po­rary fash­ion.

Com­bined with my work in ed­u­ca­tion, I’ve worked on a wide va­ri­ety of ar­tis­tic proj­ects, shaped by col­lab­o­ra­tions and a wish to be a part of ho­lis­tic re­search and prac­tice.

In 2020, I became a Trust­ee for Gomde UK, a Bud­dhist Cen­tre es­tab­lished by the char­i­ty Rang­jung Yeshe UK in 2009. Our ob­jec­tives are two­fold; to offer au­then­tic Bud­dhist teach­ings and spaces for re­treat, and to pro­tect and best pre­serve the rare hab­i­tat of Lind­holme Es­tate.

In 2021, I be­came Sec­re­tary to the Board of Trust­ees for the Art­ists’ Be­nev­o­lent Fund (ABF). The ABF has been sup­port­ing art­ists for over 200 years. Today, our aim is to en­a­ble art­ists to launch, de­vel­op and sus­tain a pro­fes­sion­al ca­reer.
